20/01/09 - Eastern Bristebird Update

Eastern BristlebirdOn a recent survey of the Eastern Bristlebird population in the Border Ranges region, for NSW Parks and Wildlife Service, John located 5 active nests, some including eggs or young chicks. This is a great sign for the Eastern Bristlebird population and indicates that the habitat management performed by NSW Parks and Wildlife is working well. John Young Wildlife would like to thank the NSW Parks and Wildlife Service (particularly the Kyogle office) for their dedication in ensuring the survival of this threatened species.
