Internationally acclaimed wildlife cinematographer
John Young and his young protege Melissa Chiesa are on a new adventure
into the wetlands of Australia.
For John this is an important journey, giving him the
opportunity to teach his young sidekick about the importance of
wetlands to the overall environment and also finish a project he began
the year before - filming the lifecycle of the jabiru.
We take a hairy ride with John in an ultralight aircraft and join him and Melissa as they make the scariest of climbs, 120 feet straight up a great gum tree to film the nest of the maginificent White-breasted Sea-Eagle. And we see that in Ingham, John's hometown, he has been instrumental in the creation of the Tyto Wetlands, which is now home to over 160 species of birds, reptiles and other animals, including the rarely seen Grass Owl. |
